Children’s Week is a national annual festival to be celebrated from Friday October 22nd to Sunday October 31st with the theme:
“Children have the right to meet with other children and young people and to join groups and organisations as long as this does not stop other people from enjoying their rights”
From the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child- Article 15.
The Governor’s wife, Mrs Lan Le is Patron and Governor General – David Hurley AC DSC, is the National Patron.
The official launch of Children’s Week 2021 in South Australia will be held on Friday 22nd October.
A diverse range of healthy lifestyle activities will be held throughout the state that focus attention of the wider community on children’s education, care and wellbeing and the recognition of children’s achievements.
Children’s Week has been celebrated in South Australia for the past 40 years and will be supported once again by the Government of South Australia (Department for Education.)
