CHILDREN’S WEEK 2024

Children’s Week 2024 is a national annual festival to be celebrated
from October 18th to October 27th with the theme:
‘Children have the right to the best health care possible, clean water to drink,
healthy food and a clean, safe environment to live in.’
From the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child- Article 24.

ACHIEVE RECOGNITION

Achieve recognition of children through publicity and promotion of events and activities in conjunction with universal celebrations.

DEVELOP GLOBAL AWARENESS

Develop global awareness of children’s special needs through publicity and promotion in conjunction with such groups as the United Nations Association of Australia and UNICEF.

PROMOTE HEALTHY & ACTIVE LIVES

Promote healthy and active lives for children through care, education, health, physical activity and cultural programs designed for local involvement

ENCOURAGE INVOLVEMENT

Encourage community involvement in celebrating childhood through a number of organised educational, cultural and physical activity events.

DEMONSTRATE CONCERN

Demonstrate in a practical way, concern for the well-being of children throughout South Australia

INCREASE AWARENESS

Increase community awareness of children’s achievements and abilities
